FAQ

Why does macOS say the developer can't be verified?

It's notarized by Apple, so just open the DMG, drag it to Applications, and launch — no security warning. All scanning and cleaning happen locally on your Mac.

Is cleaning safe? Could it delete something important?

Anything marked "safe to eat" is cache and logs that rebuild themselves. Items marked "have a look" (old downloads, iOS backups) are off by default and moved to the Trash, not deleted. Anything "not food" is never touched. It always confirms before feeding.

How is the usage summary generated?

9ulp looks at files and caches that changed recently and groups them by source. Everything is analyzed locally — nothing is uploaded.

How does the schedule work?

It uses macOS launchd to scan in the background on your chosen cadence (no need to keep the app open) and reminds you when there's more than your threshold to eat. Manage it in System Settings → General → Login Items.
